Next: the magical land of Omnomnom

sigerson and I got to thinking. And when I say "thinking," I mean "emailing each other in capslock and never quite making sense and trying to get each other to laugh uncontrollably in the middle of the library/office." Occasionally this produces good ideas. This is not one of them.
We've come up with a series of books about a young girl in a land that's only loosely connected to the flow of linear time, a land called the When. In the first book, she'll be coming into her own, learning the truth about the When. In the second, she'll have to disguise herself, possibly as a nun, to discover the threat against her home. In the final volume, the inhabitants of her home will have to rise up and defend it.
The titles are, of course, MAID OF WHEN, MAID OF VEIL, and FOR THE WHEN.
Please don't kill me.
I suspect the second book will have at least one nautical interlude, just for the VEILBOAT.
