Things I need to remember:

- Revising is a slow process, and I have little time. Therefore I cannot take a day off in the next couple of weeks, and one chapter per day is cutting it close.
- Nevertheless, revising is a worthwhile process, and the chapters that have been through it are much better.
- Even if I currently hate all my characters and find my plot twists stupid and the other elements of the plot really stupid and in fact believe that the whole dratted book is stupid, I can't worry about that right now. The critique will sort out the stupid.
- One crappy draft does not mean that people will point at me in the street saying "She wrote that?"
- Time and other considerations aside, sleep is a necessary part of one's day.
- I have cool goggles. If I feel bad while revising, I should put on the goggles. They will do nothing, but I will look cool.
- No matter how broken my brain is, marshmallows and beer do not constitute a complete dinner.

Of course you have cool goggles.

Was rereading some of your short stories the other day and was reminded of what a terrific writer you are.

The stupid is temporary. You will fix it.

My stupid is never merely "temporary"!

Thank you. Thank you so much.
