snow and yule

Yuletide fic is almost ready. I'm going to let it sit overnight and scrape the mold off see what needs fixing come morning. I'm pretty proud of it, and can't wait to see what my recipient thinks.

Come to think of it, Yuletide may be the only thing I'm actually prepared for.

Early this morning, I woke up to hear the silence that only comes with snow. Everything was muffled -- the wind was silent, and there was no traffic, not even plows yet. It felt as if the snow had wrapped us in blankets. So I snuggled back under the more immediate blankets and fell asleep again. (And dreamed of an episode of Battlestar Galactica that I'm pretty sure doesn't exist, but that's beside the point.)

Funny, I thought I had (http://stealthmuffin.livejournal.com/59194.html#cutid1). But I've been holding off on any actual announcements until everything's set (i.e. everything's signed and it becomes too late for the publishers to come back to their senses). I'll post soon about it.
