squeequegList 10 things (in no particular order) that bring you a moment of joy and tag 5 friends to do the same. (Incidentally, this strikes me as a very healthy meme. I've needed to just step back and think of happy things.)
- Baking tasty food. Especially muffins, since they're something I know well.
- Sunlight.
- Wildlife in the middle of a city.
- (on that note) Turtles. Saw one today, paddling up the Charles. Saw another at the lake early this summer, about the size of a half dollar and awfully cute.
- The sound of running water.
- Geeking out. No, really. There's something just unabashedly happy about going "Whee! Only sixteen days till Serenity and I watched the trailer again and Jayne doesn't wanna explode and when's the new George R.R. Martin coming out and wheee!"
- Connecting with other geeks.
- Reading over something I've written and either 1) thinking that it's really quite good or 2) thinking that yeah, I put this in the box for a reason, but there's something still really good under the clumsiness here.
- Apples and cheddar cheese.
- Waking up about half an hour before my alarm goes off and knowing that I can just lie there and drowse and not think of anything serious.
