Weenie dirigible!
Jun. 17th, 2005 09:45 amThe telemarketing division of where I work has been doing these weird "Celebrate the Season" decorations, usually with balloons. Big Mylar balloons, floating up between the cubes. When April started, it was the spring motif,so we had big balloon flowers and butterflies and dragonflies and, for some reason, frogs.
I think that, having used the flowers and butterflies for spring, they must have been at a loss for the summer motif. They went with a Summer Picnic theme. This means that there are now large balloons in the shape of ice cream cones, hamburgers, and lobsters all over their side of the cube farm.
And hot dogs. Giant inflatable hot dogs (with ketchup, mustard, relish, and onions) two and a half feet long. Hovering over people's desks.
I keep seeing them and imagining giant weenie dirigibles on the horizon, raining fire and corrosive sauerkraut on an unsuspecting populace...
