I can see light!

Two chapters revised today, one completely from scratch.

Two more for tomorrow, one of which has large chunks of it done already. After that, minor cleanup on the last four chapters.

Then it's take a break, have a glass of something, and dive back in for the last rewrite before I hand it over to the writers' group. I've still got sections marked ADD CONFRONTATION HERE and XXRETCON THIS, so it's not yet readable and won't be till this next revision is done. But I can see light at the end of this particular tunnel, and I'm in that happily deluded state where yeah maybe this part of the plot is stupid, but it's my kind of stupid, and if it's a stupid that the group likes, then it's a stupid that will stay.

And now I'm off to go for a walk and choreograph the chase scene for tomorrow's second chapter. *deep breath*

Hey, you have a plot — you know how many published writers that gets you ahead of, right there? ;-) Better yet, you have a plot and real, live people at the same time, and that gets you ahead of the other half.

Yeah, I'm thinking I've gotta set up JungleDisk this weekend and make sure I have *offsite* backups. Because it's no good having it on three different computers if the house burns down... :}
