glah.

You know those sack-full-of-rice heating pad type things? The ones you stick in the microwave and then put on sore muscles?

They work just as well in this weather if you keep them in the freezer for several hours and then apply them to the back of the neck. Mmmmm. Much better than the sack full of hot laundry I was just carrying.

Hydrocolator packs! My mom's got a couple (she's a PT, and she always keeps handy stuff like that on hand). They're wonderful.

So that's what they're called! I swear, last night that thing made all the difference.

Ours is called a "Bed Buddy." Frequently heard around the casa: "Gotta get my Bed Buddy out of the microwave. I love it when he's all warm and toasty." hehe.

Peek-a-boo!

BTW, I was just thinking of your poem "February" the other day. It sums up my life so often.

ooh, nice. I desperately need one of those. My last apartment was so gross (not my fault!) that the sack got moldy. I don't miss that place at all.

Ick. I've heard of freezing mildew off books -- would that work for this?

not so much. Plus I threw it away years ago. :)

Really? I wonder where mine is...

Your icon.
Your icon needs to meet its theme song.

Gah! I can't remember the Superman theme song, and I used to watch it all the time as a kid.

*finding site with Superman TV theme, listening*

Hmm. I'm having a hard time making the lyrics fit the tune. Perhaps it is just a lack of imagination on my part.

You are familiar with Playin' the Cello, right? Chicken rules!

She means the theme from the first movie -- John Williams horn section going nuts, that sort of thing. It fits scarily well.

Ah, the *movie*. I don't think of movies as having "themes"--I think of them as having "soundtracks." I mean, how can something really be a "theme" unless it's driven into your head on a weekly basis?

And since it wasn't driven into my head on a weekly basis, I don't actually know the tune in question.
