day go wheeee.....
Jun. 25th, 2004 12:42 amThings I did today:
had an early breakfast with
wavyarms, who rules as usual
used the phrase "Midsummer Night's Dream crossed with Spinal Tap" to describe a book
realized that was a very inaccurate description of the book
moved a futon
picked up Song of Susannah from the library
walked quite a ways
started thinking about what could accurately be described as "Midsummer Night's Dream crossed with Spinal Tap"
did not see the nineteen goslings this time. Though they're awfully cute.
startled lots of chipmunks
fed a few mosquitos
had my performance review
worked eight and a half hours
nearly fell asleep at my desk while working (never a good sign)
wrote a first draft of a novel critique for writers' workshop
thought up a few noteworthy lines of dialogue for a potential story titled "Nowe with Ye Commentarye Tracks!" (see above re: Midsummer/Tap)
read Song of Susannah
wondered how much more meta Stephen King can get before he meets himself coming the other way
got twenty pages further and realized that question has already been answered
had tea. and toast.
packed a bag for a trip to New Hamster tomorrow morning
finished up the critique; just needs some page references and some smoothing
stared at the wall
wrote this post.
And now I'm going to bed.
