This explains my love of cheese.
Oct. 9th, 2005 10:53 amIt was mildly humbling, while watching Curse of the Were-Rabbit (the new Wallace and Gromit movie) with
thomascantor last night, to realize that our relationship maps well onto Wallace and Gromit's -- and I'm not Gromit. I shall now start wearing knit vests and go bald.
( Brief impressions of the movie. )
And then we came home, ate tiramisu from Finale, drank port, and watched more Lost. Life is good.
Still plugging along on the revisions, still plugging along on the job search, still terrified about what's going to happen after October. Two interviews last week, one of which I got a call back for a second interview while I was on the way home from the first. That's very encouraging, but I can't let myself start to hope. Instead, I shall think about how to smooth over the death of Informative Old Guy in the next chapter. And whether I can leave the phrase "Viking inventor of pasties" in till the next draft.
