Ten years ago I:
knew I wanted to write
had decided that dating was just not going to work for me, for a while at least
was happily grooving to Monkey Puzzle with [livejournal.com profile] cincodemaygirl

Five years ago I:
had my appendix out
had sent out my first story and gotten it deservingly rejected (whoo, what a stinker)
watched far too much tv

One year ago I:
was adjusting to being in a writers' group and the critiquing that comes with it
was pondering how to write a story that was both fantasy and a Christmas story without going saccharin
attempted to roast a turkey

Yesterday I:
kicked royal ass in the underground city of Tharx (in [livejournal.com profile] sigerson's game)
got a lift to the T from a nice person -- that's three weeks running, and for no particular reason I can see -- is everyone suddenly nice?
suppressed the urge to start doing a GIR impression at work

Today I:
snuggled close to J and was happy
worked out a timeline for the mega-revision's plot
read five different stories and jotted down notes for eventual crits of all of them
started to revise a story as requested

Tomorrow I hope to:
get a working version of the resubmission story
finalize a draft of "Keep Coming Back for More"
actually get a needed nap

One year from now I hope to:
have finished and,(fingers crossed) sent out the mega-revision
have a working outline of another novel or big project
have Dwarf and Ninja online in a decent format

Five years from now I hope to:
have published my first novel
still be making muffins for J
no longer kick myself for stupid things done more than ten years ago
be stunning in purple
